Things to do

Bush Walking.

If you're feeling adventurous, take the nature walk down to the Lane Cove River and discover the great attractions it has to offer.
There are a range of bushwalks from easy to more arduous through the picturesque Lane cove National Park and Lane Cove River.
The Lane Cove River Tourist Park is nestled within the beautiful Lane Cove National Park with its many picnic areas, playground and other attractions.  Ask us for a map when you check in or download one here.

Activities - Our Programs

We are pleased to offer a variety of free (to in house guests) activities designed around our environmental and sustainability best practice commitment.  Times and seasons vary for activities so please ask us when booking what we have happening.  Some of our more popular programs are:

Night Tours - Take a guided walk at night to see what types of animals are out and about in the park.  This is a very popular tour and places are always filling fast, so make sure you book on arrival.  (pre bookings not accepted).

Indigenous Cultural Performance - Spend some time immersing yourself in Australia's oldest living culture.  Traditional dance, song and loads of fun.  This is generally a Wednesday night activity.

Tai Chi -  Health and well being is an important part of our sustainability philosophy - try an early morning (around 0800) Tai Chi sesion to get you in the right mindset for the day.

Eco Tourism Bush Regeneration and Conservation Activities

Visitors are encouraged and welcome to join a volunteer bush regen group during their stay at the park.  Any visitors who join the Friends of Lane Cove National Park and undertake a conservation activity are entitled to an additional 10% discount off their site rates.  There are a range of activities you can get into that really help our environment.  Click for details www.users.bigpond.net.au/folcnp/

Boat Hire at the Boat Shed

You can hire a rowboat Click here for details and paddle along the tranquil Lane Cove River (weekends and NSW school holidays only).  Bike hire is also available from the boat shed.

Biking

Mountain bike through 40kms of natural bushland trails.  You can bring your own bike or hire one from reception.
