LANE COVE RIVER TOURIST PARK
Hi Everyone.
And a special welcome to all the people on Travellers Point. I could have headed this subject: The power & benefit of the internet!:)
Let me explain. There is a group of young people from mainly Britain that will be coming to stay with us around Christmas time. Most of these people didn't know each other before posting on the Travellers Point forum.
Back on the 16th June, WebGuy(from the USA) had the idea of getting people to stay together at a camp ground in Sydney for New Years Eve. So far he is organising 11 people to meet up here.
But I think he and I both expect more to join the group. After all, it's only the end of July. This is the link to the thread if you want to keep up to date. http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum.cfm?thread=61886
We have a couple of unpowered tent sites organised for them with room for more people as they join the group. And all this is being done from the other side of the world, without direct communication and all the information has been gleaned from websites and online forums! This just could not have been done 20 years ago!!
Off to post on the forum myself now. Looking forward to meeting you all for another incredible Christmas and New Year in Sydney!

p.s. Have a look at a couple of videos I have posted on You Tube. An example of some wildlife you will probably meet. And only 10 kms from the Harbour Bridge in the most popular city to be in for New Year's Eve. Sydney!! Hoo Rah!!
